The headquarters of District panchayat is also at pathanamthitta. Konni, Pulikeezhu, Kulanada, Pandalam, Ayroor, Chittar, Kozhencherry, Pallickal, Elanthoor, Koippuram, Pramadom, Ranni, Vaipur, Kodumon, and Mallappally are the divisions.

Community Development

The district is divided into nine community development blocks. They are Elanthur, Koipram, Konni, Kulanada, Mallappally, Pandalam, Parakkode, Pulikkeezhu and Ranni. All rural development schemes of the State government and the major poverty alleviation programmes of the Central Government are implemented through the block offices.

Sampoorna Grameena Samithi Yojana, Central Rural Sanitation Programme, Indira Awas Yojana, Prime Minister's Samridhi Yojana, Prime Minister's Gramodaya Yojana Credit cum Subsidy Scheme, NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund etc. are the major programmes being implemented through the blocks.
