To supply quality seeds and planting materials three seed farms are established at Adoor, Pandalam and Pullad. The sugarcane research station at Kerala Agricultural University functions at Kallumkal near Thiruvalla. The Krishi Vijgnan Kendra at Thelliyoor near Pullad which is sponsored by the ICAR is imparting training to farmers and voluntary workers. They also supply seeds, planting materials, chicks etc. Recently one Farmers' Training Centre is sanctioned at Pandalam to give training to farmers. The District Soil Testing Lab at Pandalam facilitates free analysis of soil supplies. To speed up infrastructure development work in the crop lands, an Engineering Workshop started functioning at Pandalam.
